{"id":1088,"date":"2026-06-05T15:40:44","date_gmt":"2026-06-05T15:40:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reliablemovingcrews.com\/?p=1088"},"modified":"2026-06-05T15:40:44","modified_gmt":"2026-06-05T15:40:44","slug":"us-judge-invalidates-trump-policies-targeting-immigrants-from-39-countries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reliablemovingcrews.com\/?p=1088","title":{"rendered":"US judge invalidates Trump policies targeting immigrants from 39 countries"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><div><div><ul><li>Companies<\/li><\/ul><\/div><div><ul><li><svg><\/svg><div><div><div><button><span><span>Follow<\/span><\/span><\/button><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div><div>June 5 (Reuters) &#8211; President Donald Trump\u2019s administration unlawfully barred applicants from 39 travel\u2011ban countries from receiving decisions on \u200basylum, work permits, green cards and citizenship, a U.S. federal judge \u200cruled on Friday.<\/div><div>Chief U.S. District Judge John McConnell in Providence, Rhode Island,  that the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services had adopted a series of unlawful policies targeting people from \u200b39 African, Asian, Latin American and Middle Eastern countries.<\/div><div>His ruling came \u200bin a lawsuit filed in March by a coalition of immigrant \u2060service organizations and labor unions challenging a suite of policies adopted starting \u200bin November by USCIS, which is part of the U.S. Department of Homeland \u200bSecurity.<\/div><div>Those measures placed a hold on processing immigration benefit applications from people in the 39 countries subject to Trump\u2019s full or partial travel bans, which he has justified on vetting and \u200bsecurity grounds.
