{"id":1531,"date":"2026-06-10T06:38:20","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T06:38:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reliablemovingcrews.com\/?p=1531"},"modified":"2026-06-10T06:38:20","modified_gmt":"2026-06-10T06:38:20","slug":"trump-backed-republican-marty-odonnell-wins-nevada-primary-for-key-house-seat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reliablemovingcrews.com\/?p=1531","title":{"rendered":"Trump-backed Republican Marty O&#8217;Donnell wins Nevada primary for key House seat"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><div>June 9 (Reuters) &#8211; Marty O&#8217;Donnell, backed by U.S. President \u200bDonald Trump, won the Republican primary on Tuesday \u200cfor Nevada\u2019s 3rd Congressional District, a Las Vegas-area battleground that could help decide control of the U.S. House of Representatives in \u200bNovember, U.S. media projected.<\/div><div>The seat, held by Democrat \u200bSusie Lee, is among a handful across the \u2060country expected to be decisive in determining the \u200bbalance of power in Congress, with Republicans currently holding \u200ba narrow House majority.<\/div><div>The Republican primary featured a competitive, largely self-funded field, including Trump-endorsed video game composer Marty O&#8217;Donnell, neurosurgeon Aury Nagy \u200band former U.S. Ambassador to Iceland Jeff Gunter. \u200bA fourth candidate is businesswoman Tera Anderson.<\/div><div>O&#8217;Donnell, who loaned his campaign $3 \u200cmillion, \u2060is also backed by House Republicans&#8217; campaign arm as a member of its &#8220;MAGA Majority&#8221; program, which supports candidates in battleground districts. Nagy and Gunter have loaned their \u200bcampaigns $1 million and $750,000, \u200brespectively.<\/div><div>The Republican \u2060nominee will now challenge Lee or her Democratic rival in a race expected to \u200bdraw national attention and significant campaign spending \u200bahead \u2060of November\u2019s elections.<\/div><div>Lee won reelection in 2024 by nearly 3 percentage points even as Trump narrowly carried the district, \u2060underscoring \u200bits status as a closely divided \u200belectorate.<\/div><div><address><div><div><noscript>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"120\" height=\"120\" alt=\"Nolan D.
