WASHINGTON, June 11 (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump said he has canceled planned strikes \u200bagainst Iran on Thursday, hours after threatening \u200cmore bombings and a desire to “take” oil export hub Kharg Island.<\/div>\n
“Based on the \u200bfact that discussions with \u200bthe Islamic Republic of Iran have \u2060been brought to the highest \u200blevel of Iranian leadership and approved, \u200bI have, as President of the United States of America, cancelled the scheduled strikes \u200band bombings against Iran this \u200bevening,” Trump wrote in a post on \u200cTruth \u2060Social.<\/div>\n
Trump said “discussions and final points” have been approved by the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, \u200bTurkey, Pakistan, \u200bBahrain, \u2060Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, and others.<\/div>\n
“The Naval Blockade will remain \u200bin full force and \u200beffect \u2060until this Transaction is finalized \u2014 Time and place of the signing to \u2060be \u200bannounced shortly,” he \u200bsaid.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
