June 17 (Reuters) – Short-term U.S. interest-rate futures are \u200bnow pricing in \u200ca bigger chance that the Federal Reserve \u200bwill deliver \u200ba rate hike by \u2060September than opt \u200bto keep rates \u200bwhere they are.<\/div>\n
The shift in market-based rate-path expectations \u200bcomes after \u200bthe Fed said it would \u200cleave \u2060the policy rate in its current 3.50%-3.75% range at \u200bthis \u200btime, \u2060but a near-majority of policymakers \u200bpenciled a \u200brate \u2060hike by the end of 2026 \u2060to \u200bcombat higher \u200binflation.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
