June 19 (Reuters) – Talks that had been planned for \u200bFriday between the \u200cUnited States and Iran at the Burgenstock mountaintop \u200bresort in Switzerland \u200bwill not take place, \u2060according to a \u200bSwiss foreign ministry statement.<\/div>\n
The \u200bannouncement came after a White House spokesperson said overnight \u200bthat U.S. Vice \u200bPresident JD Vance had pulled out \u200cof \u2060a planned trip to meet Iranian negotiators in Switzerland on \u200bFriday \u200bto \u2060begin talks on implementing an agreement \u200bstruck between Tehran \u200band \u2060Washington to end the war.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
