June 21 (Reuters) – Scotland defender Jack Hendry said on Sunday he is not worried about the challenge of playing against Neymar \u200bif Brazil’s all-time top scorer is fit for \u200cWednesday’s World Cup encounter.<\/div>\n
“Yeah, no problem,” Hendry told reporters when asked about the possibility.<\/div>\n
“I’m quite comfortable, obviously, coming up against Neymar, and I look \u200bforward to it. It should be a really \u200bgood battle, and if he does play, then I \u2060look forward to it.”<\/div>\n
Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti has said \u200bhe expects Neymar, 34, to be available for their final \u200bGroup C match in Miami after missing the first two games as he recovers from a calf injury.<\/div>\n
Hendry, 31, played against Neymar in \u200bthe Champions League in 2021 when the Scot was on \u200bthe books of Club Brugge and the Brazilian was with Paris St \u200cGermain. \u2060The encounter ended 1-1.<\/div>\n
The Scot represents Al Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia but did not come head to head with Neymar during his time in the kingdom after the Brazilian \u200bplayed only seven \u200bgames for \u2060Al Hilal during an injury-ravaged spell.<\/div>\n
Scotland have three points from their first two games and \u200bsit third in Group C with a good \u200bchance \u2060of qualifying for the World Cup knockout round for the first time, even if they lose to Brazil, thanks to the \u2060tournament’s \u200bnew, expanded format.<\/div>\n
Brazil have four points \u200band are top of the group on goal difference ahead of Morocco, who \u200bface Haiti on Wednesday.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
