{"id":3307,"date":"2026-06-29T23:39:02","date_gmt":"2026-06-29T23:39:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reliablemovingcrews.com\/?p=3307"},"modified":"2026-06-29T23:39:02","modified_gmt":"2026-06-29T23:39:02","slug":"fuel-shortages-spread-to-more-parts-of-russia-as-ukrainian-attacks-bite","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reliablemovingcrews.com\/?p=3307","title":{"rendered":"Fuel shortages spread to more parts of Russia as Ukrainian attacks bite"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Summary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>MOSCOW\/ROSTOV-ON-DON\/SEVASTOPOL, June 29 (Reuters) &#8211; Ukrainian attacks have caused fuel shortages to spread from Russian-annexed Crimea \u200bto nearby parts of southern Russia, and even to the capital Moscow, \u200cwhich has previously been spared, residents say.<\/div>\n<div>Motorists in nearly all of Russia are limited in the amount of fuel they can now buy, with particularly severe restrictions imposed in all of Russian occupied Ukraine, much \u200bof southern Russia and Siberia.<\/div>\n<div>Only Moscow and a handful of mainly remote regions \u200bhave no formal restrictions, although even in the capital some filling stations \u2060are shut and others have long queues.<\/div>\n<div>President Vladimir Putinacknowledged on Sunday at a meeting with government \u200bministers and other officials that Ukrainian drone strikes had triggered fuel shortages in some regions, but \u200bsaid that Russia was dealing with them.<\/div>\n<div>In Crimea, which Russia captured from Ukraine and annexed in 2014, Ukraine has been attacking supply lines in recent weeks in what it says is a campaign to hit \u200bRussia&#8217;s military effort.<\/div>\n<div>Authorities there have suspended fuel sales to private motorists, shortened working hours \u200band reduced the time that public transport and cafes operate.<\/div>\n<div>When authorities offered limited sales of gasoline to the \u200cpublic \u2060in Crimea&#8217;s largest city Sevastopol on Monday, motorists queued to buy it at prices of 189 roubles a litre, almost triple the normal price.<\/div>\n<div>The shortages have spread to Rostov-on-Don, a southern Russian city close to the border with southeasetern Ukraine.<\/div>\n<div>Some pump hoses there were wrapped \u200bin paper with &#8220;no fuel&#8221; \u200bwritten on them. One \u2060petrol station had a sign saying &#8220;Fuel sales have been temporarily suspended&#8221;.<\/div>\n<div>Vladimir, who gave only his first name, had brought his motorbike to \u200bfill up with no success.<\/div>\n<div>&#8220;I worked as a courier. I stopped \u200bworking.
