July 1 (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump secured a more than $50 million loan last year from Charles Schwab \u200bBank (SCHW.N)<\/svg>, opens new tab<\/span>, according to his annual disclosure for \u200c2025 with the U.S. Office of Government Ethics.<\/div>\n
Trump holds a pledged-asset line, a type \u200bof credit line that lets borrowers \u200buse their investments collateral to borrow \u2060cash, with the lender, but it \u200bwas not disclosed in his ethics filing \u200bfor 2024.<\/div>\n
The credit line has an interest rate of 3.9%, according to his 2025 disclosure, \u200bwhich was released on Tuesday. The exact \u200bsize of the loan or the purpose for which \u200cit \u2060was used was not disclosed.<\/div>\n
The loan can be used for a wide range of financial needs such as home \u200bpurchase and \u200btax payments. \u2060There is no minimum draw requirement or maturity date for \u200bit, according to Schwab’s website.<\/div>\n
The \u200bannual \u2060filing also disclosed more than $1.4 billion in income from his family’s crypto ventures \u2060last \u200byear, underscoring how digital \u200bassets have transformed the president’s fortunes.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
