{"id":437,"date":"2026-05-29T21:50:03","date_gmt":"2026-05-29T21:50:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reliablemovingcrews.com\/?p=437"},"modified":"2026-05-29T21:50:03","modified_gmt":"2026-05-29T21:50:03","slug":"poison-frontman-bret-michaels-is-latest-artist-to-withdraw-from-freedom-250-concerts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reliablemovingcrews.com\/?p=437","title":{"rendered":"Poison frontman Bret Michaels is latest artist to withdraw from Freedom 250 concerts"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Summary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>LOS ANGELES, May 29 (Reuters) &#8211; Bret Michaels, frontman \u200bof Poison, the rock group best known for its working-class anthem \u201cNothin\u2019 But a Good Time,\u201d has withdrawn \u200cfrom a concert series commemorating the United States&#8217; 250th anniversary, the latest in a wave of cancellations.<\/div>\n<div>Michaels posted a message on Instagram on Friday saying that the event was presented as a nonpartisan celebration to honor the nation\u2019s veterans, active military, first responders, teachers and other hardworking Americans.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cUnfortunately, what \u200bwas presented to us as a celebration of our country has evolved into something much more divisive than \u200bwhat I agreed to be part of,\u201d Michaels wrote. \u201cConcerns have also been raised regarding the safety \u2060of my fans, band, crew, family and myself, including threats that are completely unfounded and unforgivable.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>Michaels is the fifth musician to \u200bwithdraw from the \u201cFreedom 250\u201d concerts, which are scheduled to take place from June 25 through July 10 on Washington\u2019s National Mall. \u200bOrganizers announced the \u201cfirst wave\u201d of featured performers on Wednesday.<\/div>\n<h2>ORGANIZERS DEFEND EVENT<\/h2>\n<div>Freedom 250 spokeswoman Julia Friedland said the event is dedicated to uniting Americans around the nation&#8217;s semiquincentennial.
