{"id":470,"date":"2026-05-30T09:15:19","date_gmt":"2026-05-30T09:15:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reliablemovingcrews.com\/?p=470"},"modified":"2026-05-30T09:15:19","modified_gmt":"2026-05-30T09:15:19","slug":"italy-bans-kanye-west-travis-scott-concerts-over-security-concerns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reliablemovingcrews.com\/?p=470","title":{"rendered":"Italy bans Kanye West, Travis Scott concerts over security concerns"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div>ROME, May 30 (Reuters) &#8211; Italy has banned two concerts involving U.S. rappers Kanye West and Travis Scott due to take place in July in the northern city of \u200bReggio Emilia, authorities said on Saturday.<\/div>\n<div>The local prefect, Salvatore Angieri, ordered the \u200ccancellation because of concerns over public order and security, including the potential for protests.<\/div>\n<div>West, also known as Ye, has faced a wave of cancellations across Europe this summer following years of antisemitic remarks, including \u200bstatements praising Adolf Hitler and the release of content using Nazi \u200bimagery.<\/div>\n<div>Scott, meanwhile, has faced scrutiny over safety at his concerts since \u2060a 2021 crowd crush at the Astroworld festival in Houston that killed 10 \u200bpeople and injured hundreds.<\/div>\n<div>Scott had been due to perform at the &#8220;Pulse of Gaia Festival&#8221; \u200bon July 17 at the 103,000-seat RCF Arena, with Ye scheduled to appear the following day.<\/div>\n<div>Angieri said the decision was taken following requests from consumer group CODACONS and the Jewish community \u200bin Modena and Reggio Emilia, which had raised particular concerns about Ye.<\/div>\n<div>Authorities cited \u200bthe close timing of the two shows and the high influx of spectators expected within \u200c24 hours \u2060as factors behind the ban.
