MOSCOW, May 31 (Reuters) – Ukrainian drones struck energy and industrial targets across several Russian \u200bregions overnight, Russian authorities said \u200con Sunday, in an escalating campaign of strikes against infrastructure.<\/div>\n
In Saratov, a region on \u200bthe Volga River with several \u200boil refineries that has come under \u2060regular Ukrainian attack in recent \u200byears, governor Roman Busargin said on Telegram \u200bthat “civil infrastructure” had been damaged.<\/div>\n
In the Kirov region, northeast of Moscow and around 1,300km (800 \u200bmiles) from Ukrainian-held territory, governor Alexander \u200bSokolov said drones had hit a facility in \u200cthe \u2060Urzhumsky district.<\/div>\n
Governors in Rostov, Voronezh and Belgorod regions, all of which border Ukraine, also reported strikes, with three \u200bcivilians injured \u200bin \u2060Belgorod.<\/div>\n
On the Russian-controlled Crimean peninsula, Moscow-backed governor Sergei Aksyonov \u200bsaid authorities were introducing restrictions \u200bon \u2060sales of petrol.<\/div>\n
He did not say why, but Ukraine has for months \u2060been \u200battacking fuel infrastructure in \u200bsouthwestern Russia, close to Crimea.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
