WASHINGTON, June 1 (Reuters) – President Donald Trump’s $1.8 billion “anti-weaponization” \u200bfund that would \u200chave benefited political allies is \u200bon hold, two \u200bsources familiar with \u2060the plan said \u200bon Monday.<\/div>\n
The fund, \u200bwhich would compensate such allies with taxpayer \u200bmoney, emerged \u200bfrom a legal settlement between \u200cTrump’s \u2060Justice Department and the Internal Revenue Service to \u200bresolve \u200ban \u2060unprecedented lawsuit in which \u200bthe president \u200bhad \u2060sought $10 billion over the alleged mishandling \u2060of \u200bhis \u200btax records.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
